On Saturday, our Alexa ranking was off the charts at 7406. As I was writing it, I was amazed at the fact our rank had risen so much over the period of basically a day. Don’t get me wrong, currently it stands at 23,000, but I’m talking for the previous days.
So I went there today and waited for it to update, but it never did. Then I was alerted by Vipul that it had updated and our new page rank for the previous day was at 5034. That’s bloody massive!
That being said, you can guess that our rank increasing so massively has caused the servers to slow some since our ranking has went up about three times what it normally is… Which pretty much means a ton of forums being registered and users online…
This brings up another issue.
There will be a scheduled server downtime in the near future to add a new server to keep iPBFree fast and speedy, so don’t get worried if your boards go down for a bit! They’ll be back, and faster in but a few minutes or hours at most.
Yet another thing, as Garrett mentioned previously, the official modification site for iPBFree, known as Source, is now open for registration. In the near future we will be offering a lot more graphics, skins, and modifications! Please check it out if you need some resources, or just want to help us out a bit.
